Finance Development Programme
Training the next generation of the financial leadership team is essential to our continued success as an industry leader and to sustaining our growth.
This programme is designed to give the right candidate an enviable introduction to our business processes and financial management systems so they can effectively influence the future direction of the company.
The participant will work in four assignments in various functional departments during a two-year rotation. First-year assignments can include general accounting including A/R, A/P, Payroll, G/L Closing, Cost Accounting, Account Analysis; Preparation of the Financial Quarterly Review package; analysis, preparation, and presentation of capital proposals; Standard Costing; business metric analysis and product line margin analysis; working with operational staff to develop improvement action plans including cost reduction initiatives: Budget development both functional and for entire business unit; optimising operating working capital. Second-year assignments will include Sarbanes/Oxley audit and other financial controls including internal audit assignments.
Through the course of the programme the member will also complete training in statistical operations tools, human resources, supervision and business unit manufacturing acumen and application. Members will also have the opportunity to make presentations to PCC's upper management.
This is a programme designed to accelerate its members' career growth towards higher leadership positions at PCC.
Induction will be held in the USA and it is anticipated that there will be at least one trip to the US per year.
We are interested in hearing from candidates all year round but our formal programme starts in January each year.
This is a demanding programme and we need the very best people. The package reflects this with a starting salary £25,000 depending on qualification and prior experience. In addition there is subsidised accommodation and gym membership as well as the potential to earn substantial bonus.

In addition, as part of the programme we will be supporting the right candidate towards gaining their CIMA professional qualifications.
To that end, as a minimum, you should have gained a 2.1 in a relevant degree in accounting or a business subject. By relevant degree we mean one that gives you full exemption from the CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting.

During the first year the role will be based in Nottingham. Relocation within the UK would be needed for year 2.
